Press Release, June 2008: “Travelling the road of your dreams takes patience and is exhilarating!” Heidi Cooper’s debut CD has gone to print and will be released with a full concert on Sunday, June 8 at the All Souls UU Church, downtown. With Heidi’s passionate vocals which range from soothing your soul to inciting you to dance, La Mariposa (translated as “butterfly” in Spanish) includes original compositions which speak to the joy of being in relationship and inspire you to reach for your own dreams or to participate in the changing world. Primarily sung in English, La Mariposa also shares a variety of languages with us in songs about lying by the ocean, saying goodbye, or simply celebrating life. And we’d be remiss not to tell you about the uplifting songs of social significance, in which Heidi sings her wishes for a world at peace or calls us to action to care for the planet, all timely and beautifully sung with delightful combinations of African drum rhythms, piano, guitars, ukulele, violin and flute. Please join Heidi and her band, Heartsong: Charla McGaugh, Benjamin Pratt, Tony Kisling, Marty Rust, KJ Braithwaite and Ken Janzen for this musical celebration. Sunday, June 8, 2008, 3:00 pm, All Souls UU Church, 730 North Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado. General Admission is only $5 or free with the purchase of a CD; children 12 years and under are free. If you are unable to attend, please visit Heidi’s website at www.heidicooper.com starting June 8 or contact Heidi at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
