What is in the News: Music, Local, Environment June/July 2008 Hello, Dear One, Today’s Angel Card was transformation once again. My debut CD, La Mariposa, (which means “butterfly” in Spanish) is finally in production and CD Day, when I open the first box brought by the UPS driver, is scheduled for Thursday before the CD Release Concert on June 8th. I hope you can make it. I’ve kept the door cost very low at $5 per adult or free with the purchase of a CD for this mailing list. Children are also free. It’s quite a talented ensemble appearing with me at All Souls that afternoon at 3:00 pm including: Heidi on Vocals, Benjamin Pratt, KJ Braithwaite, Marty Rust and me guitar, Ken Janzen on piano, Charla McGaugh on keyboard and flute, Tony Kisling on African drums and percussion, and Renee Botton on violin. We’ve rehearsed a family friendly concert for all souls. If you have an e-mail list of your own, would you please consider letting your friends know about the concert? I would love to pack the house on this special day. I’m also still looking for a videographer for that day. And I’ve attached a flyer for the event which you can share. If you can’t make it, I do hope you’ll check out my new website due to be up that day as well: www.heidicooper.com After the concert, I’m off on my annual pilgrimage to Pennsylvania to visit family and begin stirring the pot with house concerts and a visit to Pebble Hill Church in Doylestown, PA. If you know folks in Bucks County, PA, please let them know about my June 15th church appearance on Father’s Day. This is the truly the month for CD releases and interesting events. Here are just a few: Steve Weeks is doing a delightful set of children’s music at the Uncle Wilbur Fountain’s
